More than 50 Fair World’s pickets not allowed

Партыі "Справядлівы свет" не дазволілі больш за 50 пікетаў

The Belarusian party of the left Fair World applied for a number of pickets ‘For Social State’ and got more than 50 refusals. The pickets had to be held in different Belarusian cities on April 29, deputy head of the party Valery Uhnalyou told BelaPAN.

The party applied for pickets in all the regional centres and in big cities like Orsha, Polatsk and others, he said. “The state is neglecting social problems and is evading its social commitments now. The recent decisions to increase utility tariffs and the pension age prove it. We wanted to express our opinion about these problems but we have not been allowed to do it anywhere,” Uhnalyou said.

The party has even been refused in Minsk. The action was supposed to be held in the traditional place of street actions – Bangalore Square.
