69-year-old activist's property confiscated over street protest

У мінчанкі за ўдзел у акцыях з бел-чырвона-белым сцягам канфіскавалі маёмасць

Law enforcement officers have confiscated a microwave and awashing machine from 69-year-old Minsk activist Nina Bahinskaya . They are trying to make her pay the fines for taking part in unauthorized street actions. Bahinskaya’s country houses have also been arrested, the website Belarusian Document Centre reports.

Nina Bahisnkaya is a well-known participant of authorized and unauthorized street actions in Minsk. She always brings a white-red-white flag with her. She attended the constituent assembly of the Belarusian National Congress in Yanka Kupala Park on May 15 (in the photo).

Bahinskaya has to pay about 40 million roubles of fines now. The confiscated items belong to her children and grandchildren but law enforcement officers ignored the fact, the activist noted. By the way, she does not attend trials on principle.
