Лявон Вольскі атрымае ўзнагароду падчас "Еўрабачання"

Lyavon Volski will get the prize Freemuse Award 2016 on the stage of Eurovision village – Kungsträdgården – on May 8. This is a special festival zone in Stockholm where Eurovision will be held, the website of Freemuse reports.

“Belarus’ official Eurovision participant Ivan (with the song Help You Fly) was chosen at the national contest organized by the Belarusian State Broadcasting Company. This very company has blacklisted Volski and other musicians criticizing the regime,” the organizers said.

The prize Freemuse Award 2016 (founded in 2008) will be given to Lyavon Volski for his brave struggle for the freedom of musical expression.

Lyavon Volski will dedicate the international Freemuse prize to his wife Hanna.

The first Eurovision semi-final will be held on May 10. Belarusian Eurovision participant Ivan will sing the song Help You Fly in the second semi-final on May 12. The final of the contest will be organized in the arena Ericsson Globe on May 14.
