Lukashenka's worries over Ukraine criminals in Belarus (video)

Visiting the areas affected by the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear fall-out, Aliaksandr Lukashenka mentioned about two thousand Ukrainian nationals that are allegedly asking to let them find refuge in Belarus.

Lukashenka: “I cannot refuse them. We are looking at these people to find out who they are. It is okay when they bring their families with them. But criminals may come here too. We have enough of our own criminals… The situation there is serious, they have started shooting.”

Both the West and Russia ‘need to calm down’ to settle the conflict in Ukraine, the president said. “They should not try to eliminate the state and the Ukrainian people,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka noted.
