Lukashenka: Conflicts at our borders, but must not cross them

Alyaksandr Lukashenka said that the wars and conflicts that are already at our borders must not cross into Belarus. On February 5, the President met with the leadership of the Interior Ministry. He spoke about the relations between Belarus and the West, which lately started to improve, about the need to strengthen the fight against crime, especially in rural areas. Lukashenka demanded that preventive activities against unlawful acts "of individual youth associations" be strengthened.

In his speech, the Head of State  mentioned the situation in Ukraine. He noted that the modern world is changing rapidly and becoming less safe for people, and in some states there are civil wars and ethnic conflicts. "And these things have already got close to our borders," BELTA quoted Alyaksandr Lukashenka.

Lukashenka said that all these negative phenomena must not get into our country, and people need to feel that they are protected. Law enforcement authorities should "ensure the public order and socio-political stability in the country, prevent chaos, crime and any destabilization," said Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
