Kuchma: Main task - reach ceasefire
Leonid Kuchma arrived at the contact group negotiations about 7 pm.
He said that the main hope is that they manage to agree on the implementation of the first clause of the previous agreements - a ceasefire. Kuchma noted that they were not able to implement this clause of the arrangements.
Also one of the main tasks according to him is to take control of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the areas that are controled by the self-proclaimed republics of PRD and PRL.
PRD and PRL representatives attending the talks would not answer journalists' questions.
