Indian President to visit Belarus

Indian President Pranab Mukherjee is planning to pay an official visit to Minsk in June, BELTA reports referring to the Indian diplomatic office in Belarus. The aim of the visit is unknown now. The Indian President will probably discuss economic contacts with the Belarusian authorities.

Belarus-India turnout is about half a billion dollars now. India has realized a number of successful projects in our country.  It participated in the reconstruction of Hrodna power plant #2 that was launched in the summer of 2013. Belarus is a major supplier of potash fertilizers to India.

Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei officially visited India in April. He negotiated with big companies interested in cooperation with Belarus.
