IMF advises creating council of high-ranking officials in Belarus

The International Monetary Fund advises that the Belarusian authorities create a financial stability council in 2016. It should consist of high-ranking officials. The recommendation was pronounced after the IMF mission’s visit to Belarus on April 5-21. The international experts assessed Belarus’ financial sector.

The financial stability council should consist of the head of the National Bank, vice PM and representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance.  The new structure will monitor financial stability and work out the measures aimed it its securing, BelaPAN reports.

Our banking system contains increased risks connected with the worsening of the financial situation at state enterprises which may result in the decrease of their solvency, IMF experts concluded.
