Human rights activist Tankachova may be deprived of residence permit
Alena Tankachova is a citizen of the Russian Federation but has lived in Belarus for 30 years.
Now the procedure has been started to deprive the well-known human rights activist, chairman of educational institutions Legal Transformation Center (Lawtrend) of residence in Belarus.
In her comment to BelaPAN Tonkacheva reported that on September 23 she received a relevant notification. "Being a lawyer by training and not having a burning desire to leave, I take all necessary legal actions that may possibly affect the situation," said the human rights activist. Tankachova refused to give any further comments.
