Freedom Day in Minsk may be held in sympathy with Ukraine
The steering committee of the street action will gather today.
The steering committee responsible for the celebration of the anniversary of the independence of the Belarusian Peoples’ Republic (March 25, 1918) will gather in Minsk on February 26. A street action is usually organized in the Belarusian capital on March 25. Traditionally, the city authorities send its participants to Bangalore Square.
The BPF Party has suggested holding this year’s action ‘under the mottoes of Ukraine’s independence and solidarity with the country defending its territorial integrity from the attacks of the Kremlin aggressor’.
Besides the BPF Party, a festive action will be prepared by the Movement ForFreedom, Belarusian Social-Democratic party (Hramada), United Civil Party, BCD steering committee and Tell the Truth campaign. The steering committee will gather in Minsk office of the BPF at 3 p.m.
