Football: BATE into Champions League group stage (video)

BATE have once again made it to the Champions League group stage, UEFA's most prestigious club tournament. On August 26 in Belgrade, the Belarusian side lost to the Serbian hosts Partizan 1:2 but are advancing due to their home 1:0 win at the home arena in Barysau.

BATE played confidently most of the match trying to maintain their lead from the home leg. Igor Stasevich scored 25 minutes in to give BATE the lead. Maksim Zhavnerchik turned into own net to give Partizan hope. Ivan Šaponjić volley in added time set up frantic final seconds but BATE held on to maintain perfect play-off record, reports UEFA.com. Belarus will once again welcome Europe's star clubs. The draw will take place on August 27 in Switzerland.
