Fire at Russian atomic submarine: dock flooded to put it out

The atomic submarine Oryol caught fire during repair works on the plant Zvezdochka in Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast, on April 7. It was decided to flood the dock. The fire was contained that way.

The nuclear reactor had been switched off before the repair works began, BBC reports. There was no fuel either. Nobody was injured. Everyone managed to get out of the submarine.
