Festival of Guides to feature old transport, metro and birds

Festival of Guides will be held in Minsk and regions from 17 to 19 April. This year the organizers offer visitors to listen to the birds during the tour, look at the old trams and trolley buses, cycle and much more.

Tsimokh Akudovich, an organizer, told Euroradio about the future trips:

"Transport authorities were active to join the festival. They will put up their old fleet for people to look at, and they have given us a tram for the tour. There are now more excursions: a hundred in the capital and 60 in the regions."

Also this year there will be guided tours in French, German, English and Spanish. There will be performances and games.

During this year's festival, organizers have chosen a special monument - one of the oldest monuments in Belarus - Calvinist church of the XVI century in Pershamaisk (historically - Kukhtsichy) Uzda rayon, Minsk oblast. During the festival, the organizers plan to draw attention to the monument and to raise money for its preservation.
