Government to discuss possible return to winter time in early October

Recommendations are worked out by a special commission. BelTA informs that it includes representatives of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Energy, the National Academy of Sciences and other interested governments and institutions. According to Nazaranka, the Commission has already submitted its proposals to the government.

He stressed that the Gosstandart does not see sufficient grounds for the country's transition to winter time. "Those studies that have been filed by separate bodies of state administration in favor of the transfer, are not enough. We would not be changing the time, but would keep it as it is now in Belarus," said Nazaranka.

It should be recalled that Belarus has remained in the summer time since 2011. This decision was taken by the Council of Ministers of our country and echoed the one in Russia. However, on July 1, 2014, the State Duma of the Russian Federation decided to return to standard time.

By the way, experts have repeatedly pointed out that the so-called winter time corresponds to the time belt.
