3 Belarus female weightlifters blacklisted for doping
Belarusian weightlifters Maryna Shkermankova, Dzina Sazanavets and Yauhen Zharnasek have been blacklisted. Their names are on the list of 23 athletes who used anabolic steroids, the official website of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) reports.
The 23 athletes reresent 6 Olympic Committees and perform in five sports.
Shekmankova, Sazanavets and Zharnasek will not be allowed to take part in official competitions for now. Maryna Shkermankova won a bronze medal at London Olympics. Belarusian weightlifters’ participation in the Olympic Games in Brazil is undecided now.
Shermankova’s test contained the following prohibited substances: Dehydrochloromethyltestosterone, Stanozolol (S1.1 Anabolic agents), Sazanavets’ test — Drostanolone, Stanozolol (S1.1 Anabolic agents) and Zharnasek’s test — Dehydrochloromethytestosterone, Stanozolol, Oxandrolone (S1.1 Anabolic agents).
