Belarus population down to almost 9.5 million people
The data is valid as of July 1, 2015. Since the beginning of the year, the population has increased by 4,474 people.
The population of Belarus has increased, and as of July 1 amounted to 9 million 485.3 thousand people. Compared with the beginning of the year, the number of inhabitants of our country has increased by 4,474 person, the National Statistical Committee reports.
As for the natural loss of the population, in January-June 2015 it amounted to 6,077 people. Compared with the corresponding period of 2014, it has increased by 1,897 people.
According to the National Statistics Committee, in the first half of the year, 2,843 people moved from Belarus to the CIS countries (of which to Russia - 2,361). During the same time, 12,007 people moved to Belarus from the CIS countries (from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan - 10,867).
