Belarus foreign debt rises to 12.7 billion dollars

The Ministry of Finance reports that as of June 1, 2015 the external public debt has increased by $130.4 million, or 1% (considering exchange rate differences) and reached 12.7 billion dollars.

In the period of January - May, Belarus attracted the following foreign government loans: 328.9 million dollars - from the government and banks in Russia, 149.8 million dollars - from the banks of the PRC, 9.4 million dollars - from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The total amount of the borrowed government loans amounted to 488.1 million dollars.

Since the beginning of 2015, repayment of external state loans has amounted to 377.9 million dollars. The Russian government was repaid 125 million dollars, the IMF - 75.9 million dollars, the EurAsEC anti-crisis fund - 88.3 million dollars, the Banks of China - 80.5 million dollars, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development - 7.5 million dollars, the United States - 700 thousands of dollars.

The national debt of Belarus on June 1 amounted to 243.3 trillion rubles and had increased in comparison with the beginning of the year to 45.9 trillion rubles, or by 23.2%.
