Andrei Makarevich to perform in Salihorsk on August 29
Russia's prominent mucisian and dissident Andrei Makarevich faces harsh stigmatization in Russia over his pro-Ukrainian stance in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Makarevich has been persecuted for his views as regards the events in Ukraine recently. Russian MPs even suggested depriving the musician of state awards for his concert given for Ukrainian refugees’ children in Donets Basin.
Iosif Kobzon condemned Andrei Makarevich’s concert and suggested that the singer ‘performed for Donetsk miners’. It would prove that Makarevich was ‘disinterested’ when giving his concert in Ukraine, Kobzon belives.
