30,000 Ukrainian refuges in Belarus

Based on the data collected on October 28, 30,000 people have arrived in Belarus from the conflict zone in Ukraine. This was announced today by Head of the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Belarus MIA Alyaksei Byagun, BELTA reports. 

Interior Ministry spokesman said that 150 people out of this number have already received additional protection. Approximately 780 people are being considered for the acquisition of this status. Also, a part of the group was granted permanent or temporary residence in Belarus in order to work. At the same time, 444 people have filed to acquire Belarusian citizenship. 

It is also reported that, Belarusians exchange information on the topic with their Russian colleagues from the Federal Migration Service. The Parties notify each other of the measures taken to resolve the situation.
