468 members of political parties delegated to constituency electoral commissions

468 representatives of political parties have been delegated to constituency electoral commissions, Central Election Commission secretary Mikalai Lazavik told Belapan news agency.

A total of 5499 people was nominated to 367 commissions, with NGOs taking a lead (2233). Citizens nominated 1888 people by gathering signatures, and working collectives lined up 910 people.

The Communist Party of Belarus delegated 200 people; Belarusian Leftist Party "Fair World" -- 104: United Civic Party -- 43;  Belarusian Agrarian Party -- 23; Liberal Democratic Party and the Party of the Belarusian popular Front -- 22 each; Social Democratic Party of People's Accord -- 14; the Party of Labor and Justice -- 12; the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) -- 10; the Belarusian Patriotic Party -- 7; the Belarusian Green Party -- 6; the Belarusian Social and Sport Party -- 4; the Belarusian Social Democratic Hramada -- 1.

The opposition parties have lined up a total of 186 people.

The pro-governmental organzation Belaya Rus has delegated 332 members; the Belarusian Youth Union -- 338; the Belarusian Union of Women -- 243; the Belarusian Association of Veterans -- 252; the Trade Union Federation of Belarus -- 851.

The lists of members of constituency electoral commissions will have to be approved by later today.
